The directions to get to the Lodge are as follows:
Please take note this route is only advised for 4x4 vehicles (preferably with a winch) as it is a tricky drive and you will lose ALL cellphone signal once you have passed through Chiawa village and we will be unable to contact or assist you, should you get stuck en-route.
Kindly disregard Google map's directions coming over leopard hills, Please take only the Kafue-Chirundu road to us. We advise that you let us know on Whatsapp when you are passing through Chirundu and again at Chiawa (this is where you will lose all signal).
At Chirundu (which is just before the border post into Zimbabwe – if you get to the border post you’ve gone a little too far, please turn back and head towards the Shoprite) you’ll turn left at the road just after a petrol station on your right, pass a small centre with a Shoprite and Hungry Lion and then get onto a dirt road.
Please note that the road splits 12 km after you have passed through Chirundu and have started down the dirt road, and again at Chiawa village - at both of these splits please keep right and follow the boards directing you to the lodges. (our sign is not up there but you will see many other lodge signs all together).
We then place a clear Zambezi Grande sign board on the road at the lodge turnoff for you, where you will turn right, ( this is at 69km after you get onto the dirt road), and we will have an estimated ETA for your arrival. (at the moment this portion of the drive from Chirundu to the lodge will take you between 2 and 2.5 hours and is a very bumpy dirt road).
