Welcome to a private island of pristine white sandy beaches, running water inlets and is surrounded by the impressive Katambora rapids on the South East side of the island, it is also home to one of the widest variety of birds in Southern Africa! Ancient trees include Baobabs, wild date palms & waterberry trees.

• Children between 0-5 years of age are accommodated for free if sharing with full paying adults (maximum 2 children per family). • Children between 6-12 years of age are accommodated at 50% per child when sharing with full paying adults. • Children above 12 years pay the relevant full adult rates.

Boat Transfer to/from Kazangula Boarder & Nampene Island USD15 per person per trip (min 4 pax) Our boat captain will boat you up or down the Zambezi river from Nampene Island or to Kazangula Boarder (25 minute boat trip). Your captain will assist you with your luggage through the Zambian Immigra>on and welcome or bid you farewell when coming into Zambia or crossing over to Botswana.

Boat Transfer to/from Katambora Harbour & Nampene Island USD5 per person per trip (min 4 pax) Our boat captain will boat you up or down the Zambezi river from Nampene Island or to Katambora Harbour, (5 minute boat trip). Your captain will assist you with your luggage and welcome or bid you farewell.

Half Day Boat Hire USD80 per boat 6am - 12pm or 14pm Fll sun set (max 10l of fuel per boat per half day) A boat captain and boat will be your’s exclusively for half a day to come and go from Nampene Island as you please. Your captain will take you to visit common aqua>c bird sites, fishing, exploring the famous Katambora Rapids, viewing other incredible islands and wildlife around the area.

Full Day Boat Hire & Fishing per boat  USD170 6am - 12pm & 14pm Fll Sunset (max 3 clients per boat, max 20l of fuel per boat per full day) A professional fishing guide and boat will be your’s exclusively for a full day to come and go from Nampene Island as you please. You will be taken to some of the upper Zambezi’s most sort aber fishing spots, where you can expect to catch fish such as Tiger fish, Nembwe, Yellow fish, and many more.KH

Sun Set Cruise per boat 16:30pm USD40 pp till Sunset Our boat captain will boat you around the island and slowly upstream, while enjoying one of our unforge]able African Sunsets. 

Birding Walk per person (6 clients per guide - 2 to 3 hours) USD80

We have 3 Bush Bungalows carefully nestled amongst the trees, where you will get to enjoy the outstanding bird life in and around the island. Our Bungalows are twin shared with a changing room and veranda. For our Bungalows, we have designed beautiful, luxurious outdoor shared bathrooms with four hot solar showers and four flushing toilets. Our Bush Bungalows are equipped with: • King or single beds • Comfortable bedding • Towels • Mosquito spray • Dust bin • Solar lamp • Outside hand wash basin.

Meals All our meals are at the following >mes: 08:00am - Breakfast (continental breakfast) 13:00pm - Lunch (buffet, single course meal) 19:00pm - Dinner (buffet, two course meal - main course & dessert) We’d be happy to accommodate you if you’d prefer to make changes to our meal times, we’ll need at least 6 hours notice. Snacks are also available on sale at the bar. Drinking Water Nampene Island provide mineral water at the bar & in your rooms at all times. Please don’t drink water from the taps around the Island, because our tap water is pumped from the river. Other drinks are on sale at the bar.

Wifi There’s no internet on Nampene Island. It’s not oben you get to stay on an island, so please put your devices down and enjoy nature at it’s best. If you have to, we get Zambian, Zimbabwean & Botswana cellphone network, so you can link your devices to these networks if you have mobile data.
