About the Lodge:

Firefly Lodge Zambia caters for 16 people (up to 20 Max) with 1 double room chalet, 4 en-suite family chalets and a family suite comprising 2 bedrooms with a shared bathroom. In addition to 2 central areas, there is a dining room, swimming pool plus a bar, braai and "fire pit" area to spend a moon lit night listening to the choir of animal sounds. As the dawn breaks, share an early morning coffee on your own private balcony, as the sun rises in all its splendour, awakening the African Bush.

Wi-fi/mobile phone coverage is intermittent and may not be available.

The lodge operates on Solar Power, and recharging of batteries/use of hairdryers is during daylight - please refer to the web-site.

Directions:

Only 30km from Mumbwa town and 3.5 hours from Lusaka.

Firefly Lodge is located on 1100 Ha of private conservancy land.
Approximately 30km from Kafue National Park in Zambia.

Directions to Firefly Lodge from Lusaka via Mumbwa town.
Leave Lusaka in a westerly direction on the M9 tar road for 150km. Take the
turnoff on the right for Mumbwa town for approximately 4km until you reach
the roundabout where you turn LEFT.

Please be aware that there are no fuel stations on the road so fill up while you can in Mumbwa. Drive down the dirt road for 1km past the small local shops/Kiosks, fruit and veg sellers and turn RIGHT (Red Firefly sign on your left) onto the Kasempa Road. Set your odometer to 0 and travel 30km along the dirt road which can be a little challenging. You will have come to a crossroads with signs for Amatheon on your right and CORRIE and a Red FIREFLY LODGE sign on your left. Turn left along the dirt road ( and drive for 300m to the Y junction where you bear LEFT for +/_3km until you reach a T junction where you bear RIGHT. 1km later you will be at FIREFLY main Gate where our Game Scouts will receive you.

Notes:-
1. Red Firefly signs are posted along the way to assist after turning off the main Kasempa dirt road.
2. Wi-fi and telephone signals are intermittent along the dirt roads.
